Wow, I really haven't read many debut recently...
1. Renee Adheih: I'm really looking forward to the sequel to The Wrath and the Dawn.
2. Sarah Biggs Waller: I really enjoyed A Mad, Wicked Folly and her next book is about ORCHID HUNTING, people. (On top of being a book nerd, I am a natural history nerd.)
3. Joy N. Hensley: I am
4. Maria Dahvana Headley: I adored Magonia, and I'm really looking forward to the sequel. (I know, Maria Dahvana Headley isn't exactly a debut, but this was here YA debut novel.)
5. Sabaa Tahir: I'm looking forward to the sequel to An Ember in the Ashes.
Kelly, great list. I am curious about another book by Joy N Hensley too. I heard a rumor she wanted to write a sequel and the publisher said no :( but i'm hoping she has another book out soon!
ReplyDeleteIt was one of my favourite debuts of last year (I don't read many debuts, apparently...) but it did feel a little incomplete. I remember feeling like Sam's family stuff didn't feel wrapped up. Also I want to see her helping the girls who enroll the year after... Oh well. Its still pretty excellent on its own.
