2016 Challenges

Flights of Fantasy Reading Challenge 2016 Alexa Loves Books Hello Chelly button

I'm a huge fantasty reader already, but I figured it would still be fun to challenge myself. This year I'm going to try and read 40 books that are fantasy in some way. The Flights of Fantasy challenge is hosted by Alexa Loves Books and Hello, Chelly.

The Re-Read Challenge, hosted by Belle of the Literati.  I took part in this one last year, and it was great (I reread kind of obsessively anyway, but, again, it was kind of fun to incorporate a challenge into it). Last year I set a goal of 10 books, which I exceeded. I'm still going to keep 10 books as my goal for this year.

2016 Reading Challenge

I've challenged myself to read 100 books again for the Goodreads challenge. It's the same number I chose last year, though I didn't quite meet it, I still believe it's completely withing my abilities- I just wasn't completely focused last year.

That Artsy Reader Girl

I took a year off of The Debut Author Challenge, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, but I actually found I kind of missed it, so I'm giving it a try again this year.

  1. The only challenge I'm taking part in this year is Goodreads 2016 Reading Challenge - I also did 100 and failed at my goal :P But yeah, I decided to aim for another 100. Good luck on your challenges!

    1. 100 books is definitely enough of an undertaking to be going on with! Good luck with your reading.

  2. Good luck with ALL Of these challenges, Kelly. Reading 100 books seems beyond my grasp though if ever I did achieve that, I'd probably have to throw some confetti. It'd be THAT big of a deal. :D

    1. I tend to read pretty fast, so 100 is pretty reasonable for me (though it does depend what I'm reading. Reading books like The Silmarillion, generally takes me longer).

  3. All these challenges look so awesome - I did not even think about starting any this year, but you've definitely inspired me! Good luck on these!

    1. I wanted to do more of them this year, I kind of dropped the ball in 2015. Thanks for commenting, and best of luck with any challenges you decide to do!

  5. These all sound like fun challenges! If I wasn't about to get my degree I would definitely join most of them. It's awesome that you already reread, that's one of my goals for 2016. Good luck with your challenges :D

    1. Juggling these with school is going to be... interesting... but I'm hoping that I can still manage them. We'll see.

Rereading is one of my biggest reading habits (it makes the Goodreads challenge a little more challenging, because I can't count rereads for it...)

      Thanks!
