  1. I always forget that I thought 'Petticoats' sounded cute back when it released, and recently I've heard that Radio Silence is an amazing read. Hope you enjoy all of these, Kelly! :)

    1. I meant to read it when it came out, I was really looking forward to Y.S. Lee's story and then I just... never picked it up? So it really is about time that I pick it up! It's good to hear that Radio Silence went well for you, I'm really looking forward to picking it up (which possibly begs the question why I haven't already).

    1. I'm really looking forward to Jane, Unlimited! I did purchase a copy, and then it got lost in the mail, and I had to figure out that tangle and then I... never read it.

  3. Ooh I loved Radio Silence! And The Calculating Stars look good too.

I never did read the Falconer- ack! I remember when that came out, I was so excited...

    1. I know, I was really looking forward to The Falconer (in... 2013, was it? Goodness) and then I didn't wind up picking it up. I've managed to get it out of the library so hopefully that'll happen soon.

    1. It's a stunning cover! I'm really looking forward to picking it up at some point (I preordered it and then promptly didn't pick it up and now it's a whole thing...)

    2. I have done that once or twice!! It happened by accident that I was not able to go get it, but it was available at the library branch I normally go to, so I canceled the hold request and resubmitted it, and got it. Whew!

    3. I'll probably pick it up when I have the time and focus to really dive in... I actually have my own copy and it's just sitting there on the shelf, waiting for me whenever I'm ready.

    1. Strange the Dreamer was really good! I think I just need to be in the right mood to pick up Muse of Nightmares, so I've been waiting for that.

    1. I don't know if I'd have known about it without a couple of the bloggers I trust spotlighting it (I keep up much less with adult fiction), but it sounds fantastic.

  7. oof you and me both for The Poppy War. 😂 It is kind of huge though, right?! Like I was madly putting off the thick books last year which is a problem. But I finally got through all the Falconer books and LOVE them! Also I can attest to Now I Rise, Muse of Nightmares, and Radio Silence being absolute remarkable books *heart eyes*

    1. It sounds like I've got a lot to look forward to! I borrowed The Poppy War once, and things got busy (and um... it is kind of a giant book), and then I didn't read it. It's been in such high demand at the library that it will probably take months before I'm able to pick it up. Possibly when I don't have classes, because it'll probably be a whole thing.

    1. I hope so too! I've psyched it up in my head, which probably isn't ideal, but I'm hoping it'll live up to my expectations, people seem to really love it!

    1. Your review of The Falling Kingdom was actually what put The Falconer back at the forefront of my mind! (Shame on me, honestly, it's been on my TBR since... 2013, I think?)

  14. So many books here I want to read or loved as well!

I hope to read A Tyranny of Petticoats soon. I want to get it in hardback; it was on my Christmas list but I didn't get it. Maybe I can get it when I get paid in February. Loved Muse of Nightmares. I have to read the And I Darken series soon, as well as The Poppy War.

    1. It has retreated to the back of my mind until recently. It's actually one of by books for the Beat the Backlist challenge as well (that made my list for this week easier, actually). Hope you get a chance to pick it up soon!

  16. I haven't read Muse of Nightmares yet either...i"m so WORRIED? The ending of Strange the Dreamer was so intense I just need to sit with it for awhile 🤣

    1. Thanks! I've heard so many good things, I'm really looking forward to whenever I have the chance to pick it up (library hold lists...) Hopefully we're both able to find new favourites this year (even if, you're right, we all just have to deal with the reality that we won't be getting to everything).
